Happy Holidays!

It's that time of year again, time to remember family and friends! I don't think you ever truly enjoy the holidays until you can see it through the eyes of a child. Connor is fascinated by the lights on the house and tree, Morgan gets SO excited when she hears Santa is visiting a store and McKenna, who still believes, is a joy to hear her explain to Morgan how Santa does what he does! (Some of the explanantion is thanks to "The Santa Clause" with Tim Allen) Happy Holidays from our family to yous!!

McKenna Turns 9!!

We had a bowling birthday party for McKenna this year and a surprise ride to get there! McKenna and her friends all thought we were going to let them ride in the back of the truck (yeah right!) when really her Grandpa Bob was having a antique fire truck come to the house to take them for a ride and ultimately to the bowling alley! She was SO surprised and Morgan was even MORE excited then McKenna was! Poor Connor got stuck riding in the truck with me! I still can't believe she is 9 years old already!

Halloween & Pumpkin Pictures!

Okay so we carved pumpkins the night before Halloween, a little late, but at least they didn't look all shriveled! LOL And this was the first year McKenna didn't want to be something cute and sweet, have to the love that child! Morgan on the other hand was hoping and praying that everyone who trick or treated downtown would wear a princess costume so they didn't scare her! Sorry sweetie no so such luck! BUT she did make it about half way through before pooping out and insisting on sitting in the stroller. Connor made it less than half way before he fell asleep in Daddy's arms! This was McKenna's first year to go to an ACTUAL Halloween party! She partyed the night away at her friend Cami's, they do dance class together! I picked up the party animal at 9 pm, good thing it wasn't a school night! Well enjoy the pictures, it was a night of firsts!

Annual Fall Photo Shoot

Every year since McKenna was 11 months old I have taken fall pictures of her, then Morgan came along and the tradition continues! And now we have Connor and he is stuck enduring my countless pictures of him as well! I decided to add to a couple phots from the past to see how the kids have grown! Happy Fall!

Loving the Leaves

Connor literally got a taste of fall this year! And I am loving taking pictures of our little man as he experiences everything for the first time!

We Support Uncle Lantz!

Lantz, Eric's little brother, joined the Navy right out of high school. And even though we don't get to see him as often as we would like he is always thinking of the kids. He bought Connor a little outfit & a Navy bear crib toy when I found out I was having a boy. The other picture is of McKenna and him on the flight deck of the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln. We got to tour the ship way back when I was pregnant with Morgan. He's always thinking of the kids when he is away, he has brought back a tea set for McKenna from Japan, and sent them a postcard from Dubai.
He's home but just for a little while, it was the first time he got to meet Connor in person! He brought him a little stuffed Camel from Singapore (I think)! He'll be away for 3 years, one year in Iraq and two in Japan! :-( We will miss him dearly, but like always I will send him packages with homemade cookies and of course LOTS of pictures of his nieces and nephew!

Happy Fall!

We have started a new tradition, actually it started a couple of years ago. On the first day of Fall or the weekend before we make pumpkin cookies and read our FAVORITE story "It's Fall." Here are some pictures of this year's masterpieces!

Wallowa Lake Tramway

What does one do on a perfect Sunday afternoon? Why feed chipmunks at 8000 feet, of course! I had won tickets to ride the tram at Wallowa Lake and we were finally getting the opportuinty to do it. We all climbed in a gondola that scaled the mountain side, the ride takes about 15 minutes, but the views are amazing! Once you reach the top you can buy a bag of "chipmunk food" and begin your walk. There are paths you can take, and you're immediately among chipmunks. As you can see from the pictures they'll eat right out of your hand. Morgan never did feed them directly but she would set some food on a rock for them. Great picture opportunity at the top, even Connor was awake most of the time and he had his turn helping Daddy feed the little critters, he would smile and coo at the chipmunks. Definitely worth the trip!!
