Morgan the Model

Over Memorial Day weekend, Morgan and I scouted out a possible location for a photo shoot I will be doing next weekend. I needed someone to take pictures of so I could check for shadows, light, etc. Morgan was willing but only if I took her to Dutch Bros. when we were done for a Chai! Ok, I'm a sucker and took my model up to Hilgard State Park...
We had issues with head tilting, it was either too much to the left or too much to the right, and she thought it was pretty funny!
The petite princess!
She's always good for a little attitude!

This is my favorite!

Connor can climb

Over the past week Connor has discovered he can climb! He can climb in and out of his and Morgan's rocking chairs, and a few other things in the house! Now he trys to get his knee up on EVERYTHING! And I thought Morgan was a climber!

Looking like a little boy!

It's amazing how a hat can change the way Connor looks, it makes him look like such a little boy!

My Mother's Day, Day Out!

What a Mother's Day, I slept in later than I have in years!! Got breakfast delivered to me by the girls and didn't have to do any cleaning! Later we made our way out the door with a picnic lunch. We went up Catherine Creek, ate, walked around some and then went down to the park and let the kids run loose! It was relaxing and a great way to spend Mother's Day!

Feeling Yucky

Every child gets a cold, but over the last month Connor has been dealing with colds and ear infections non-stop. This time his cough sounded different from any cough I have ever heard and I could hear wheezing sounds when he was breathing! The weird thing, no fever. So the big question, do I take him in or wait it out? On Wednesday I decided to take him in...

And then I was told he had pneumonia! The doctor heard crackling and wheezing in his left lung! The big debate was whether Connor was going to be admitted to the hospital, after some minor convincing the doctor let me take him home, but not before he gave an injection of a heavy antibiotic, a prescription for nebulizer treatments and an order for a chest x-ray!

It took two of us to hold my poor little man down on the x-ray table and within 30 minutes the doctor called and said the x-rays showed no definite signs of pneumonia! WHEW! However, I was still to give nebulizer treatments every 4 hours and we were to go back to the doctor the next day!

Day 2 of chaos... we are BACK at the doctor's and low and behold his lungs are clear! No wheezing or crackling! We were both blown away, how could it be? Apparently the congestion forced fluid to build up in his lung, which then mimiced the sounds of pneumonia, which explained the clear x-ray! I still have to give him treatments every 6 hours through the weekend and he handles okay for the most part, we even got a cute mask from the hospital! Thanks for everyone who shared in my worries, but like everything else we'll get through this in no time!
My little trooper!
