We Support Uncle Lantz!

Lantz, Eric's little brother, joined the Navy right out of high school. And even though we don't get to see him as often as we would like he is always thinking of the kids. He bought Connor a little outfit & a Navy bear crib toy when I found out I was having a boy. The other picture is of McKenna and him on the flight deck of the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln. We got to tour the ship way back when I was pregnant with Morgan. He's always thinking of the kids when he is away, he has brought back a tea set for McKenna from Japan, and sent them a postcard from Dubai.
He's home but just for a little while, it was the first time he got to meet Connor in person! He brought him a little stuffed Camel from Singapore (I think)! He'll be away for 3 years, one year in Iraq and two in Japan! :-( We will miss him dearly, but like always I will send him packages with homemade cookies and of course LOTS of pictures of his nieces and nephew!

Happy Fall!

We have started a new tradition, actually it started a couple of years ago. On the first day of Fall or the weekend before we make pumpkin cookies and read our FAVORITE story "It's Fall." Here are some pictures of this year's masterpieces!

Wallowa Lake Tramway

What does one do on a perfect Sunday afternoon? Why feed chipmunks at 8000 feet, of course! I had won tickets to ride the tram at Wallowa Lake and we were finally getting the opportuinty to do it. We all climbed in a gondola that scaled the mountain side, the ride takes about 15 minutes, but the views are amazing! Once you reach the top you can buy a bag of "chipmunk food" and begin your walk. There are paths you can take, and you're immediately among chipmunks. As you can see from the pictures they'll eat right out of your hand. Morgan never did feed them directly but she would set some food on a rock for them. Great picture opportunity at the top, even Connor was awake most of the time and he had his turn helping Daddy feed the little critters, he would smile and coo at the chipmunks. Definitely worth the trip!!

McKenna's 1st Day of 3rd Grade

Can you believe the summer is over and school is starting again? I can't! And I sure can't believe I am the mother of a 3rd grader, where does the time go?! This year unlike in the past I am able to see her off in the morning and to be here when she returns; however, like so many other things this won't last. I will be returning to work full time on the 29th, a happy and sad day! Enjoy these beautiful pics of my growing daughter, as I enjoy watching her grow every day!

Connor, Two Months and Growing

At his 2 month checkup Connor weighed in at 10 lbs. 13 oz. and was 23 1/4" long. His doctor commented on how strong our little man is and that he looks great, of course! He coos and smiles and melts all our hearts, including our Bailey dog!

The Next Tiger Woods....maybe?

McKenna has been taking golf lessons out at the La Grande Country Club ALL summer. And I was finally able to get out there and take a few pics before things wrapped up. She really enjoys golfing and would go out with Great Grandma on occasion to try her newly learned skills out on the course. FOUR!!!!!
