2009 Union County Fair

McKenna and Morgan did the Kids Pedal Tractor Pull for the first time this year! McKenna had to pull 150 lbs. and Morgan got an empty bucket, it was based on age. Way to go girls!

When we got to the fair at 5:45 p.m. it was still 101 degrees! Luckily some clouds moved in, which seemed to cool things off a little and before we knew it the sun was going down! We didn't leave until 9:30! I was pooped, but the girls could have easily gone more! Still had fun, wish they would have had a carousel.

McKenna did such an awesome job at soccer tonight, she really got into it! And she wasn't letting any boy get in her way! I think the little boy in the picture above ended up on the ground! Yep, that's my girl!! No frills and lace for McKenna!

Connor's Firsts!

Connor took his first steps the day after his 1st birthday, I was so excited that my mom and Ken were able to be here when it happened!

And now we have words! Well just one, "hi," which he has been saying for about 2 weeks.Tonight I was finally able to catch it on video. I guess it's all in the timing!!

Mowing at the Trap Club

The last two years Eric has been the President of the La Grande Trap Club, not always a glamorous job! And he has mowed the large field each year with the help of his assistants! Sitting in the cool grass on a hot July evening was the perfect way to end a long day!

Celebrating the 4th of July in Bend

Thursday, July 2nd, after work, we hooked on the trailer, loaded up the kiddos and set off to Bend. Well actually we were camping in Millican, about 30 minutes outside of Bend. Eric was shooting in the Oregon State Trap Shoot and I was hoping to get some summer shopping done. We didn't get parked until 1:15 AM, yuck and we were up by 6-6:30 the next morning! We are glad to be home!
