Morgan started T-ball last week, but this was the first "real" practice. They are so cute!!! Unfortunately Morgan is left handed and the glove we have from McKenna is not meant for a lefty. It confuses her when she is in the field. She throws the coaches for a loop because she bats left handed too!

Easter Egg Hunt at the Country Club

Morgan found the golden AND silver egg for her age group. She was SO excited and ended up with a baby doll as her prize, PLUS all the candy!

Enjoy the pics of the great race!

I'm not sure how many years we have been hunting eggs the day before Easter at the La Grande Country Club, but each year gets better! This year I was actually able to watch each of the kids separately and get pictures! Connor was still not real excited about the eggs. We did find out this was McKenna's last year to participate, it only goes to age 10. It's no fun getting old!! LOL

A Day Out of the House
We spent mid-morning up Ladd Creek with Grandpa Bob and Dana. We roasted hot dogs over the fire and toasted marshmallows and the best part made smores!! It was nice to get out of the house. The dogs loved being able to run around and they were exhausted when we got home. Connor and the girls enjoyed exploring everywhere and Connor especially loved playing in the small patches of snow and mud puddles. He was a MESS! It was a good time for all!

Sledding Fun in the New Year
Finally a chance to enjoy some snow! We had to drive about 20 minutes to get to some decent snow but it was worth it! The kids had a blast and the dog got some exercise! Sledding seems to bring out the big kid in Eric too! Hopefully this is the first of many fun days in the snow!

A Visit From Santa
December 19th, we had a busy day!! It was the day of Morgan's 5th birthday party with all her little friends, but little did she or her sister know what was planned for later. After dinner I got the girls busy working on a gingerbread tree, of course this meant the video camera was out and my digital camera. At 6:45 p.m. there was a knock on the door, Morgan answered it and it was ...Santa!! She was shocked! He came in and by this time Eric already had the video camera rolling! Connor came in to see what the fuss was all about. Santa and his elves sat down and talked to each of the kids. He knew things about the girls no one else did and when he was done each one of the kids got a gift from Santa's sack, new jammies to wear for Christmas and a candy cane! Morgan was blown away by this surprise visit from Santa and McKenna was a little suspicious since one of the elves looked just like one of the doctors from the hospital!
So what was I up to? A co-worker and I planned the visit and the special things Santa would know about the kids! What a great memory this will be. McKenna knew it was the "real" Santa and figured it was someone from the hospital. Enjoy the pics of our secret Santa visit!
