Labor Day Weekend Camp Trip

Just a few of the hundred something pictures I took during our first camp trip of the year! Unfortunately the trip fell on the last weekend of summer break for the kids. Still worth the trip. We left town about 5 on Friday and headed out of town. We ended up on the other side of Sumpter, OR in the Whitney unit. We found a nice spot with a fire ring, and creek access.

Morgan and a marshmallow! YUM!

Saturday night and the first marshmallows over the fire!

Saturday afternoon we hiked up a trail in search of some deer, that meant crossing the "creek." Connor's little legs didn't quite make it as far as we would have liked, so he, McKenna and I headed back to camp. Morgan was determined to finish the hunt. She managed the rest of the way up the mountain and then came down the face, which turned out to be steeper than Eric had thought. Morgan will be quite the little hunter! No fear, bring on the mountains!

A little football with dad, Morgan caught it!!

The only "fishing" we did!!

Eric "fishing" in the creek!!! The kids loved sitting by cheering him on!

McKenna's grasshopper, she followed this little guy all over before she was able to catch him.

McKenna and her grasshopper!!

Morgan chilling in the trailer!

Connor discovered the full length mirror in the trailer and loved to watch himself!!

Connor and a silly moment tossing the football.

McKenna learned how to through a football, she caught on pretty quick!

Connor's flower for mommy!

Relaxing and taking it all in!

Another game we had that everyone enjoyed at some point over the weekend.

The kiddos, enough said!

Connor LOVED throwing rocks in the creek!

The place we called home until Monday morning Sept. 6th!

Morgan's 1st Soccer Season

The summer recreation soccer league started the end of June. Morgan's 1st game (shown below) was on July 5th. Her last game would have been Aug. 10, but she came down with a fever and was unable to play. Her coach was nice enough to drop off her medal on her way home. Not sure if we'll do it again next year, lots of running and hot weather!

Some fancy foot work during practice

...and stretch, her coach was amazed at her balance. Me too!

Morgan played in U7, which means the kids were 4 1/2 to 6 1/2 and Morgan was still small!

Connor's 2nd Birthday

We celebrated Connor's 2nd birthday at Riverside Park on his actual birthday! It was PERFECT weather, low 70s and gorgeous. We had a great turn out of family and friends to help us celebrate. Connor was surprisingly shy among all these people he knew. We had a great time and Connor got some fun stuff!!!
Mister innocent, before the guests began arriving!

Not much enthusiasm for blowing out candles!

Presents, now that was a different story!!

One of his FAVORITE things, a ball!

The quilt Great Grandma Rynearson made!!! We are lucky to have got it, she said this would be the last one!

Balloon fun after everyone left!

Some quality time with his best bud Pierce!

A couple more presents at home!! A cool castle!

And finally, the present from Mom and Dad!!! His very own "truck"!!!!!

He couldn't wait for Mom to go in and get a swimsuit, the water called to him. What a great way to end a 2nd birthday!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONNOR PAUL WILLIAMS RYNEARSON!!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!
XOXOXOXOXO

Connor vs. the Worm

Boys will be boys! Connor discovered this poor defenseless worm in the backyard and he "played" with it for quite a while!

He got even closer than this, I think his nose had to touch it, YUCK!!! Definitely bath night!

Good thing they are bouncy, not sure it would have survived otherwise!

Super wiggly and SUPER fun!

Just for FUN!!

Memorial Day 2010

Memorial Day we drove to Enterprise, OR to go to the service at the Enterprise Cemetary, visit Grandpa's grave site and to have a BBQ with Uncle Jeff and Grandma. The ceremony was emotional for McKenna and Morgan and Connor did fine.
We had beautiful flowers for grandpa.
